Heather O’Neill offers a compassionate approach with a strong commitment to serving her client’s needs. She has a Master of Social Work from Aurora University and is working to continue her journey of becoming a licensed clinical social worker. Having lived in New Smyrna Beach for over 20 years, Heather understands the unique needs and challenges faced by local residents.

Before pursuing her master’s degree in counseling, Heather spent fifteen years working in healthcare. Her experience in healthcare provided her with valuable insights into the complexities of human behavior, resilience, and the importance of holistic well-being.

Heather's approach is collaborative and client-centered, using Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models. She recognizes that each individual is unique and deserves personalized care tailored to their specific needs and goals. She is dedicated to building trusting and therapeutic relationships with her clients, guiding them through their struggles with empathy and respect. She recognizes that every individual possesses inherent strengths and resilience. She strives to empower her clients by helping them tap into these strengths to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Heather’s passion lies in working with adolescents and adults. Whether it’s navigating life transitions, managing stress, or enhancing relationships, she is committed to providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their concerns and find practical solutions. She is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves. Heather looks forward to the opportunity to work alongside clients as they navigate their mental health journey, offering support, encouragement, and hope every step of the way.
